Hello and thanks for your interest in our rods!
All of our rods use the same rod blank and eyes, so the two models we carry are going to perform almost identical to each other.
The biggest difference between the GFX and the FMJ rods will be the reel seats. The GFX feature our graphite carbon composite reel seat while the FMJ features an aluminium reel seat.
The other big difference will only be on the casting version of the rods. The GFX features the finger trigger, but the FMJ model does not come with the finger trigger on the casting rods.
